Superlight kettle cookset for solo backpackers

A kettle boils water more quickly than a cooking pot and is easier to pour too, making the Halulite Ketalist a super-efficient lightweight solution for when you’re eating freeze-dried or dehydrated pouch meals. It combines a durable hard anodised aluminium 1 litre camping kettle with a folding foon utensil, an insulated mug with sip-it top and nesting bowl. The set nests and packs away neatly, leaving enough room to store a 110 g fuel canister. Of course, it also works brilliantly for brewing up on the trail, whether you’re sipping packet soup, coffee or hot chocolate.

    • Low-profile design provides the capacity of a 1 litre ultralight boiler and the easy-to-pour profile of a tea kettle
    • Folding handle locks into place
    • Unique bowl + mug solution with low centre of gravity and Sip-It lid virtually eliminate spills while the insulating sleeve keeps drinks hot
    • Clever folding foon design compacts to just 3.7" long, but extends and locks to become a 6.1" fork-spoon hybrid
    • Stuff sack’s nylon bottom panel and short sides help to keep soot and char off clothes and other gear
    • Integrated nesting allows for 100 g fuel canister
    • Dimensions: 165 x 154 x 89 mm
    • Weight: 321 g

  • The best outdoor gear is stuff that solves a problem – like how to cook on the trail, in all weather. And if a piece of kit solves a particular problem in a unique and effective way, then all the better. GSI Outdoors is a US brand that understands this intimately. It embodies their entire approach to manufacturing outdoor gear. In fact, the clue is even in the name: those three initials, GSI, stand for Gear Solutions and Innovations.

Established back in 1985 and now based in Spokane, Washington, in the heart of the rugged Pacific Northwest, the company is still family-owned. But its passion for great food in the great outdoors is unwavering, even after three decades. The result is a superb range of lightweight cooking equipment designed for backpackers and wild campers. Because nothing sustains your adventures like a hot meal. Besides, as we all know, food always tastes better when cooked and eaten outside.

The set up has everything you would ever need
