The Osprey Duro 6 is built for exactly that — long, unsupported days in the hills where you need hydration, snacks, a spare layer and a bit of pole-carry flexibility, all packed into a running vest that feels like it's barely there. The 360-degree stretch mesh holds everything tight to the body, two 500ml soft flasks keep water on tap up front, and six stretch pockets mean you can reach whatever you need without breaking stride. Dual rear compartments swallow everything from a lightweight shell to a reservoir, and the shove-it pocket is a brilliant bit of kit for anything you want to chuck in and sort later. It's the sort of vest you'll reach for when the forecast is dodgy, the route is new and the day is likely to be longer than you thought. The Osprey story started in California in the 1970s, with one man, a sewing machine and a vision to make the world’s best outdoor packs. Today, it’s one of the most recognisable rucksack brands.
