Wrangler's Loose Straight jeans are the grunge-era throwback we’ve been yearning for: mid-rise, baggy through the seat and thigh, loose all the way to the floor with that stacked-up puddle of denim around the ankle that makes you feel like you should be hanging around outside a shopping centre listening to Nirvana on your ghetto blaster. The dune break wash is a darkish indigo that’ll develop a rad fade over time, and the fabric is a seriously heavyweight 14 oz right-hand twill – the kind of denim that stands up on its own and breaks in beautifully.

Wranglers have been in the game since 1947, when the Blue Bell Overall Co. in Greensbro, North Carolina, hired a Polish tailor known as ‘Rodeo Ben’. His job was to design a pair tough enough for professional cowboys – built with felled seams, reinforced pockets and heavyweight denim for rough outdoor lives and long days in the saddle.
That original spirit hasn't changed much. What’s changed is who's wearing them.
