‘SOTO’ means ‘outside’ in Japanese, and the brand is dedicated to creating dependable backpacking stoves that will fire up first time, every time, wherever you find yourself in the great outdoors. The SOTO story began over 40 years ago, with founder Hajime Yamamoto. He was frustrated with existing burners that required several minutes to preheat. Yamamoto wanted a strong blue flame in seconds.
