  • Scarpa

Ask a Himalayan mountaineer, a polar researcher or a high-altitude guide what brand of footwear they’ve got on, and there’s a good chance it’ll be Scarpa.

Founded in 1938 in Asolo, a small town at the foot of the Italian Dolomites, Scarpa has spent the best part of a century making footwear that people trust with their lives. These are kicks with incredible pedigree. In the 80s, their famous Vega boots went to the top of all fourteen of the world's 8,000-metre peaks, and plenty more besides. Antarctic science stations rely on them, and Italian Alpine guides have been officially shod in Scarpa since the 1960s. Over 90% of production still takes place in Europe, and more than half their products are still made in Italy.

At the lighter end of the Scarpa range are their trail runners and approach shoes, designed for fast and flexible adventures. Low-profile and nimble, they borrow from Scarpa's climbing shoe heritage to give you real grip and sensitivity across rock and mud, while staying comfortable enough for long days on the trail.

From crampon-compatible boots right through to their lightest trail shoes, Scarpa’s footwear has a cast-iron reputation for fantastic fit and comfort straight out of the box.
