Acid Running

Most running brands start in a lab or a garage. Acid Running started in a tailoring house. Founder Oliver Powe's family opened Hector Powe in the City of London in 1908, cutting precise, athletic suits refined by two world wars and the men who came back from them — a craft, and an obsession with how a garment hangs, that Powe carried straight into running kit when he founded Acid in 2022.

The name plays on two kinds of acid: the lactic burn in your legs, and the clear-headed high that arrives once you push past it. That tension between suffering and the sublime runs through everything, right down to the split hare-and-skull logo. In practice it means kit you actually want to wear — performance shorts, tees, shells and layers cut with a tailor's eye and made from fabric good enough to hold up on a hard run and still look right over a coffee after. That mix of real quality and genuine character is rare in running, and it's why Acid has earned such a devoted following.
