Most backpacks built for weekend adventures come stacked with straps, buckles, and lash points that snag on everything from tube turnstiles to café chairs. The 28-litre Trapper Creek, however, has more versatile DNA – it’s built in 10.5-oz. waxed cotton that shrugs off a soaking, alongside padded shoulder straps and back panel for all-day comfort, but also boasts a clean, uncluttered profile that moves through crowded spaces without incident. The main zip runs down both sides of the front panel, giving you satisfying wide-open access rather than making you rummage. An interior sleeve handles a laptop or hydration bladder, daisy-chain webbing on the straps and front panel lets you bolt on extra gear if you need it, and expandable side pockets will swallow up your water bottle.
