Filson’s motto is ‘might as well have the best’ – and this workwear-grade hoodie is a case in point. At nearly twice the fabric weight of your standard sweater, the 14.6-oz. Peruvian cotton is lofted on the inside for warmth and smooth on the outside to resist pilling. Rib-knit side panels, cuffs, and hem give a custom fit without the boxy rigidity of cheaper constructions, and the kangaroo pocket is deep and wide. They also specify that the double-layer hood is roomy enough to pull over a hard hat – which is just about the most Filson detail imaginable. Heavy, warm and hardwearing, it’s a bit of kit that’s genuinely built for hard graft.
