The Quasar Driftshade brings a bit more volume and a lot more character to Osprey's limited-edition 2026 capsule. The heather fabric is 100% recycled polyester in a muted colour inspired by light and shadow in nature, with coordinated trims that elevate it above the usual commuter-pack aesthetic. But it's still a Quasar underneath: panel-loading main compartment, AirScape backpanel, and an internal sleeve that handles a 16" laptop or a hydration reservoir depending on whether you're heading to the office or the hills. The adjustable bungee front panel storage takes a rain shell without reorganising everything inside, or gives you external lash points for when the day gets ambitious (yoga mat, picnic blanket, foot-long sausage roll, etc). A scratch-resistant front pocket protects your sunglasses, and there’s a handy blinker light loop for the daily ride in.
The Osprey story started in California in the 1970s, with one man, a sewing machine and a vision to make the world’s best outdoor packs. Today, it’s one of the most recognisable rucksack brands.
All of Osprey's packs share the same twin hallmarks of fit and comfort. In fact, Osprey was an early adopter of breathable mesh, ergonomic hip-belts and packs designed specifically to fit women. Breathable back panels are still a feature of all their packs, and all except their most lightweight bags come with adjustable back-lengths for a perfect fit.
And in a world where outdoor enthusiasts are increasingly conscious of our environmental impact, many Osprey packs are made from durable recycled fabrics, while all feature PFC-free water-repellent coatings.
