Blundstone has been making boots in Tasmania since 1870. Vibram has been making outsoles in the Italian Alps since 1937. Between them, they've covered a lot of ground. The #2055 keeps the elastic-sided Chelsea silhouette that's made Blundstone a fixture across the world, and puts it on a Vibram outsole: self-cleaning lugs that shed mud and grit, and a rubber compound developed for traction on wet and dry surfaces alike. The waxed nubuck upper in Rustic Black is naturally water-resistant, hardwearing, and closer to charcoal than standard black, with the kind of understated, slightly-beaten-up quality that waxed finishes develop over time. A cushioned heel handles impact on uneven ground, aided by a removable contoured EVA footbed. Meanwhile, the overall silhouette is the same versatile pull-on style as the Originals that started it all.

Born in colonial Tasmania in 1870, Blundstone is one of the world's most enduring boot brands – and one of the most no-bull. Founded by John and Eliza Blundstone in Hobart, the brand started making fit-for-purpose footwear for the hard yakka of island life: cobbled city streets, farmland, factory floors. The iconic elastic-sided Chelsea silhouette arrived in the 1960s, and the original pattern has barely changed since. There's a reason for that.
Over 150 years, Blundstone has remained committed to a simple philosophy: make boots that work. Tough enough for a day's hard yakka, comfortable enough to pull on for the commute or a night out, understated enough to never look out of place.
The Originals Series stays true to that founding blueprint – single-piece leather construction, unlined for breathability, with cushioned heel technology and a hard-wearing outsole. The Classics Series builds on the Original with a roomier fit, leather lining, and the SPS Max Comfort system for long days on your feet. Clogs bring the same no-nonsense ethos to a slip-on silhouette, with memory foam footbeds and that unmistakable Blundies build quality.
On sustainability, Blundstone maximises recycled and recyclable materials in manufacturing, uses 100% recyclable single-material packaging, and minimises fossil fuel use across its supply chain. Boots built to last – in every sense.
