The Fat Pant takes everything that works about a classic military fatigue trouser – the rectangular baker pockets, the durable construction, the utilitarian spirit – and gives it a roomier, more contemporary fit. This is the looser option in Stan Ray's fatigue range, cut to feel relaxed without looking shapeless. The large front patch pockets are the defining detail, but they’re also practical, being deep enough to actually hold things. Turn around and they’re finished with a Stan Ray woven label on the back. Built to last and built to move in. In sateen cotton, the Fat Pant has a subtle sheen and a noticeably smooth hand feel – the weave structure gives it a slightly more refined surface than a standard twill, while the weight and durability remain exactly where you'd want them.
| Size | Waist | Inside Leg | Leg Opening |
|---|---|---|---|
| 30 | 78.7cm | 72.4cm | 25.4cm |
| 32 | 83.8cm | 73.7cm | 25.4cm |
| 34 | 88.9cm | 73.7cm | 25.4cm |
| 36 | 91.4cm | 73.7cm | 26.7cm |
Stan Ray has been making workwear in Crockett, Texas since 1972 – and in over fifty years the philosophy hasn't shifted much. Minimum fuss. Maximum practicality. Clothes built for use rather than for looking at. Take the OG Painter Pant for example, which made the brand's reputation: a proper work trouser with triple chain-stitched seams, bar-tacked stress points, hammer loop and utility pockets: all designed for people who knew the meaning of a hard day’s work.
That heritage runs through everything Stan Ray makes – functional silhouettes, rugged construction, practical fabrics that only get better with age. Today, the range has found a second audience among people who appreciate exactly that kind of no-nonsense thinking: workwear done right, with cuts that have accidentally ended up right on trend.
