Falcon Enamelware

Enamel mugs and plates are a staple of twentieth century life, both in the home and in the great outdoors. For us, they evoke fond memories of childhood Scout camps – blowing furiously on a steaming mug of hot chocolate to avoid burning our lips on the battered enamel. Others might think of wasps buzzing over plates of food laid out on gingham picnic blankets, or oven-baked apple pies set out to cool on the kitchen table.

And when you think of enamelware, you probably think of Falcon’s iconic white dishes with a blue rim. They are instantly recognisable. And though it might look fashionably retro today, enamelware is ideally suited to modern life, from meals in the garden to family car camping. Durable, timeless and supremely functional, Falcon Enamelware is hard-wearing, easily washable and chemically resistant. It doesn’t fade and cannot scorch. It’s also dishwasher-safe and heatproof, so it can be used in the oven or on the hob. And it’s virtually unbreakable – though if you drop it, it may pick up a few characterful chips, just like our old camping mug.
