  • Expandable cargo pack

The Vandal was the first pack that Mission Workshop ever made, and today it remains a mainstay of the brand’s product range. A highly adaptable and utility-focused backpack, it is perfect for travel, hauling groceries, or any scenario requiring flexible storage. That’s because its unique design has the ability to expand from 29 litres to a massive 65 litres. With a carbon fibre reinforced internal frame and a comfortable, breathable shoulder harness, the Vandal is a superb load-lugger. What’s more, six distinct sections make it easy to stay organised. You get two large and two small front pockets, plus a rear roll-top stuff compartment in addition to the main expanding central section. The Vandal also features waterproof fabrics and water-resistant zippers.

      • Expandable from 29L to 65L
      • Six compartments for efficient organisation
      • Roll-top or flap-down closure
      • Internal framesheet for load-carrying stability
      • Waterproof fabrics and YKK Aquaguard zippers
      • Arkiv rails on shoulder harness
      • AustriAlpin COBRA quick release buckle (standard on Black Camo version, optional on other versions).
      • Optional waist belt – sold separately
      • Made in the USA
      • External Dimensions : 38 cm x 53 cm x 15 cm
      • Internal Volume : 29 - 65L
      • Weight: 2 kg
      • Fabric: HT 500
    • Mission Workshop was born in San Francisco in 2009, down a nondescript alleyway surrounded by taquerias and dive bars. A small but passionate team spent months being covered in steel splinters, sheet rock dust and mouldy insulation, transforming an old warehouse into a shiny new workspace.

From here, they embarked on a single-minded mission: to fuse timeless design, modern construction and cutting-edge materials in the pursuit of bags and packs built to last a lifetime. In their own words, the workshop was created “out of the desire to build gear as tough as it is beautiful”.

To be fair, those at the heart of the brand have plenty of pedigree in this area. Co-founder Mark Falvai was one of the brains behind technical cycling brand Chrome Industries, whose signature messenger bags have become the bag of choice for pro bike couriers living and working in some of the world’s biggest and busiest cities.

Mission Workshop abides by the same ethos. Their packs come with a promise to dependably get you out and back, time and again, no matter the conditions – and make your day-to-day just that little bit better, whatever the mission.
