Once upon a time they were a workwear staple, widely worn by farm hands, hunters and other outdoorsmen who valued the fabric's hard-wearing and weather-resistant qualities. Amundsen's Fjordcord slacks are very much in this tradition, constructed in a chunky 8-wale cord for brisk autumn and winter days.
