A donabe is a traditional Japanese clay cooking pot, and this is Snow Peak's version – a beautifully minimalist ceramic set for cooking and serving rice at camp or at home. The heat-resistant clay body reflects far-infrared wavelengths, which sounds like marketing flannel but is actually the reason donabe rice comes out noticeably fluffier than rice cooked in a metal pan. The ceramic material also retains heat brilliantly, so the rice stays warm long after it comes off the flame. The set includes the pot with lid, two deeper bowls, two shallower bowls, and a storage bag. Perfect for the hob or the camping stove.

Snow Peak's journey began in 1958, when the founder Yukio Yamai, an accomplished mountaineer, created his own line of superior climbing gear. Snow Peak then looked to evolve by shifting its focus from the mountaineering equipment of the past to the camping equipment of the future. Fueled by the booming national interest in auto-camping sweeping across Japan, Snow Peak released a series of radically innovative products which focused on quality, functionality, timeless-durability and considered design.
