Whether you’re snuggled up on the sofa at home or enjoying a fireside evening on the beach, a classic wool blanket is the perfect way to stay warm and cosy. This heavyweight blanket from Atlantic Blankets is the warmest in their range, featuring 100% pure new wool and lovingly made right here in Britain. Wool’s natural ability to regulate temperature as well as its breathable and odour-resistant properties makes it supremely versatile too. You could even use it as a throw or bedspread, being light enough to sleep in year-round while delivering welcome warmth. Equally, the muted colours and classic fringe make this a great blanket to add style and colour to any room. Or take it with you on your outdoor adventures to bring a little home comfort wherever you roam.
Manufactured Locally - Atlantic Blankets make all of their blankets right here in Britain.
Sustainability Through Longevity - Atlantic Blankets has forged long-term relations with the UK’s leading mills and makers. These are master craftspersons producing slowly-woven works of stunning quality.
Sustainability and the sea often seem to go hand in hand. Which makes perfect sense – after all, it’s hard to ignore plastic pollution if you see discarded bottles and tangled nylon fishing nets washed up on the beach every day.
That’s why Atlantic Blankets do things differently. This independent, family-run brand is Cornish through and through. Their luxuriously soft collection of blankets and throws are inspired by the ocean and tailor-made for coastal living. But they’re also traditionally woven in England using sustainably sourced, natural fibres, including British wool and recycled cotton. Cosy, comfortable and eco-conscious, these are blankets for those who feel close to the coast in mind, body or spirit.
Our natural wool blankets are best looked after with these simple steps -
Shake - give your blanket a good shake outside to remove loose fibres, dirt and dust.
Air - airing your blanket outside can help to keep it smelling fresh.
Spot clean - to remove stains, use warm water and mild detergent to spot clean as soon as possible.
Gently hand wash, or machine wash at 20ºC on a gentle wool cycle, both using a wool friendly detergent.
Rinse and spin on the lowest setting. Press excess water out, reshape whilst damp. Do not tumble dry. Dry flat, away from direct sunlight.
Gorgeous shade of blue, between navy and teal and is thick but cosy.
